WordPress has been part of my life now for just over 10 years although I am the first to admit I am not a code monkey, however I do love the sense of community it has. This year I find myself Lead Organiser, which really means I get to work with an amazing team of other volunteers who all dedicate their time to making this even take place.

In my spare time I am found cooking, playing boardgames and drinking white wine. I am also a Trustee for a small Quaker publication and find myself helping charities who require administrative or financial help. I am passionate about good usability and disability rights for me they have been linked ever since training as a technical author.

Hi there, I’m Chris.

This will be my third year helping out with the community fabulousness that is Wordcamp Manchester, after having initially heard about Wordcamp at MWUG (Manchester WordPress Users Group) and wandering over to find out what it was. I found myself getting roped in and the rest, as they say, is history.

I’ve been a WordPress user for a few years now, having taught myself how to use it just as a hobby. My interest has grown ever since and last year I took the plunge and started working in the digital industry full time.

By day I’m a Marketing Exec’ at Falkon Digital, and by night (or at weekends), if I’m not at the dojo practicing Karate, Ju-Jitsu or swinging a katana, I might be outdoors (weather permitting) riding a horse or indoors baking a cake.

My background is providing IT Services to small businesses, helping them punch above their weight through smarter use of technology. Over the last few years I’ve begun developing websites using WordPress and enjoy the challenge of getting site noticed and rising in Google search engine results.

I’m a WordPress developer and director at Delicious Media. I also help to organise the WordPress Leeds meetup.

Mike Little is the co-founder of WordPress, the software that runs 31% of the web. He is the director of Zed1.com Ltd his WordPress specialist consultancy and training company.

He has been involved with more than a dozen previous WordCamps and WordPress events in the UK, either as a speaker, organiser, or sponsor, and sometimes all three.

He runs the Manchester WordPress User Group and has done so for almost ten years.

Hiya I’m Claire, a web developer and digital marketer from Greater Manchester. I’ve been part of the WordCamp Manchester organising team since 2016 when I somehow became lead organiser despite having never been to one before.

I’ve been working with WordPress for the last few years and regularly use it to build websites for small businesses as it gives them the freedom to manage their own content.

When I’m not working, I help run a small charity called SPACE which supports parents and carers of children with ADHD. We work to raise awareness, banish myths and fight the stigma regularly associated with the condition.

I have an assortment of personal websites and blogs dotted around the internet in various stages of disrepair, which I fully intend to update if I ever find the time, including Suburban Afro which started out as a WordPress development site and is now the corner of the internet I use to regularly moan about my ever changing hair.

Andi Wilkinson is a WordPress Developer & Designer and runs Manchester Digital Marketing Agency Made By Factory. Andi has been involved in WordCamps since 2014, when she volunteered her design skills and created the Worker Bee Wapuu as the WordCamp Mascot. This year, Andi is responsible for the colourful retro tech design that honours fifteen years of WordPress.
Andi also has spoken at WordCamp London & several user groups on the topic of digital marketing & online visibility and often runs workshops on the topic.
As a mum of four kids, ranging from 22-4 years old, Andi is keen to inspire and support working mums in tech, being involved in several groups around this theme.
When not working she can be found at home watching Netflix, brushing up on coding skills, or hunting out new and cool places to eat in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.
Andi will be working the desk as usual, and hopes you will come and say hello!
